Avicenna, also known as Abu Ali Ibn Sina (980–1037), was one of the greatest scholars in the history of science, medicine, and philosophy.
He authored more than 450 works, covering biology, medicine, chemistry, psychology, and philosophy. His Canon of Medicine remained a core medical textbook in Europe for over 600 years.
Avicenna introduced ideas of clinical trials, evidence-based diagnosis, and documented more than 760 medicinal substances, forming the foundation of modern biological sciences.
AIBO honors this legacy by inspiring young scientists to explore biology with curiosity, discipline, and courage.
